Michael has competed in several street painting festivals
including:
- East Greenwich, RI (1st Place Adult Division 4 times)
- Providence, RI (1st Place and People’s Choice
Award 2004, 1st Place Adult Divison one time; 2nd Place People’s Choice
one time)
- Cambridge, MA (Multiple 1st & 2nd place finishes)
- Syracuse, NY (Multiple People's Choice Awards)
The street painting Michael is most proud of is his composition
entitled “Remembering Heroes”. It was a tribute to the fallen
firefighters of the September 11th tragedy, created on the 3rd
anniversary of that day. Of the over 200 artist entries, he received a Judges’ 1st Place Award, as well as a 1st
Place People’s Choice Award.
The
People’s Choice Award is determined by popular vote of the viewing
public. By request, Michael recently recreated
this street painting on canvas and has made this work available in
prints. A portion of the sale of each “Remembering Heroes” print
will be donated to the Uniformed Firefighter’s Association Widows’
and Children’s Fund.

Art Shows.
